Basic Directions

上 — うえup / above / on top

下 — したdown / below / under

右 — みぎright

左 — ひだりleft

前 — まえfront / before

後ろ — うしろback / behind

中 — なかinside / middle

外 — そとoutside

隣 — となりnext to / beside

間 — あいだbetween / among

向かい — むかいacross from / opposite
