Formation

Verb (plain present) + つもり / Verb ない-form + つもり

Usage

Expresses a firm intention or plan. Negative form 〜ないつもり or つもりはない both mean 'don't intend to'.

Example sentences

大学に行くつもりです。

I intend to go to university.

今日は何も食べないつもりだ。

I plan to eat nothing today.

来年、日本に行くつもりですか？

Do you plan to go to Japan next year?

結婚するつもりはありません。

I don't intend to get married.

卒業したら、帰国するつもりです。

I plan to return home after graduating.
